Desal

By my frame of reference, desalination using reverse osmosis (RO) started in 1973. Since then I have ammassed a library of RO and desal reference material that would sink the Queen Mary. Why? Mainly because no single reference could cover all of the aspects of the process and applications that would pop up each month/year. This reference book, with its 35 splendid chapters covers the entire universe, and some areas I hadn't even considered, by some of the industry's most experience and learned professionals: Ian Watson, Gerry Filteau, Steve Alt, and so on.
While one could argue that the book is a collection of professional papers written for various AWWA purposes, I applaud AWWA for making them all available in one convenient place; well organized, excellent graphics and photos, a very complete package. I sincerely recommend this reference to anyone working in the membrane industry who is tasked with desalination of water. It will save you much time and aggravation.
